Who is responsible, and what this covers

The entity responsible for information handled through this website is artgrafika s.r.o., Na Vyhlídce 1060/4, 360 01 Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, company registration 29163455. The contact address for every matter raised in this policy is info@vastnotion.online.

artgrafika s.r.o. handles personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes in full at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles. This policy walks through all thirteen principles in order and says what each means here.

This policy covers the website at vastnotion.online and nothing else. Links on this site lead to other organisations' websites, including the affiliate link to the Raid: Shadow Legends site. Those sites are operated by other people, under their own privacy policies, and artgrafika s.r.o. has no control over what they collect. Read their notices on their own pages.

APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information

This policy is the open statement the first principle asks for. It is linked from the footer of every page, costs nothing to read and requires no account. Questions about this policy go to info@vastnotion.online and are answered by people working for the company.

APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity

You can read every page of this site, including all five steps and the checklists, without identifying yourself in any way. Nothing asks for a name, and there is no account to create. If you choose to write to us, you may use a pseudonymous email address and sign with any name you like. The one exception is a request to access or correct personal information: to answer that, we need enough to connect your request to the records we hold, which in practice means the email address the earlier correspondence came from.

APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information

Two categories of information exist, and only two.

Server access logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web server logs when a page is served. A log entry contains the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sent one, and the user-agent string identifying your browser and operating system.

The content of emails. If you write to info@vastnotion.online, we hold your email address, any name you give, the message itself and any attachment you send, for as long as set out under APP 11 below.

Nothing else is collected. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no sign-up, no account, no quiz, no progress saving and no comment facility. The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics, no advertising tags, no profiling and no cross-site tracking. It loads no web fonts, scripts, images or widgets from any other server, so opening a page here requests nothing from anyone but this site's own host.

APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information

Sometimes an email contains personal information we did not ask for and do not need in order to reply — details of other people, documents, or more about your own circumstances than the question required. Where it is lawful and reasonable to do so, that material is deleted rather than retained. Where it cannot lawfully be destroyed, it is handled under the rest of this policy as though it had been solicited.

APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information

This page is the notification. It names the entity collecting, states what is collected, why, how long it is kept, who it may be disclosed to, that those recipients may be overseas, and how to complain.

APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information

Each category is used for one purpose and no other. Access logs are used to keep the site secure, to identify and prevent abuse, and to diagnose faults when a page fails to load. Email content is used to read and answer your message, and to keep a record of the exchange in case you write again about it.

Personal information held by artgrafika s.r.o. in connection with this site is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with anyone for marketing. It is disclosed to an authority only where the law requires it, such as under a valid order, and only to the extent required.

APP 7 — Direct marketing

artgrafika s.r.o. sends no direct marketing through this site. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no mechanism to join one. The course sends no reminders, no progress emails and no prompts to return. If you write to us, you receive a reply to your message and nothing further.

APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information

Two recipients exist. The first is our hosting provider, which operates the server that stores the access logs described above. The second is our email service provider, which operates the mailbox at info@vastnotion.online. There are no others — no analytics company, no advertising platform, no content delivery network, no support tool.

Both of those providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in locations we do not control or publish. If you would like to know where that is at the time you are reading this, write to us and ask, and we will tell you what we know.

APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers

This principle has no application here. artgrafika s.r.o. does not adopt, use or disclose any government related identifier in connection with this site. No tax file number, Medicare number, driver licence number, passport number or similar identifier is requested, stored or needed for anything described in this policy, and we ask that you do not send one.

APP 10 — Quality of personal information

The only personal information we hold that could be inaccurate is what you have told us in an email. If something in that correspondence is wrong, write and tell us and we will correct the record. Access logs are generated by the server and are not edited; where a log entry is inaccurate, the remedy is deletion at the end of its retention period rather than correction.

APP 11 — Security and retention of personal information

The site is served over HTTPS, so the connection between your browser and the server is encrypted. There is no database behind this site and no stored form submissions, because there are no forms. The hosting account and the mailbox are accessible only to people working for artgrafika s.r.o., using individual credentials.

Retention is stated per category. Access logs are kept for 30 days and are then deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course. Email is kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation, and is then deleted, unless it is needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, in which case it is kept only as long as that requires.

We do not claim any certification, audit or security standard beyond the measures described in this paragraph, because we hold none.

APP 12 — Access to personal information

You may ask what personal information artgrafika s.r.o. holds about you in connection with this site, and ask for a copy of it. Email info@vastnotion.online with "Privacy request" in the subject line. There is no charge for making a request. We reply within 30 days.

APP 13 — Correction of personal information

You may ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. Use the same address and the same subject line. The same thirty-day reply period applies, and there is no charge. If we disagree that a correction is needed, we will tell you why, and you may ask us to attach a statement to the record saying that you consider it inaccurate.

Affiliate links and what happens when you follow one

When you follow the affiliate link on this site, you leave vastnotion.online. From that moment, the site you have arrived at is handling your visit, not us. Raid: Shadow Legends and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains to record that the referral came from this site, under their own privacy policies.

artgrafika s.r.o. receives commission reports from the network. Those reports are used only to reconcile payments, and we do not seek, request or receive information that identifies individual readers. We cannot tell who followed a link, and we have not asked to be able to.

Complaints

If you believe artgrafika s.r.o. has mishandled your personal information, write to info@vastnotion.online and describe the circumstances. We will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, or we do not answer in that time, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints, which explains the process and the forms.

Data breaches

If we become aware that information held in connection with this site may have been accessed, disclosed or lost without authorisation, we assess what has happened promptly. Where the assessment concludes that serious harm to an affected person is likely, we notify those people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Children

This site is not directed at people under 16. It collects nothing that would identify any reader, of any age, and it has no account, no form and no profiling that could do so. We do not knowingly hold personal information about a child, and if a parent or guardian believes we have received such information by email, they can ask us to delete it at the address above.

Readers in the European Union and the United Kingdom

artgrafika s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the following applies to readers covered by European data protection law.

The legal basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interest in the security and correct operation of the site. The legal basis for handling email is the performance of the step you requested when you wrote to us — namely, answering your enquiry. There is no consent basis anywhere in this policy, because there are no cookies, no tracking and nothing else that would require consent.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in respect of information we hold about you. Exercise any of them by writing to info@vastnotion.online. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; for artgrafika s.r.o. the relevant authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Czech Republic (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), uoou.gov.cz.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page is updated in the same revision. Where a change materially affects how information is handled, a note saying so is shown at the top of this page for 30 days from the change.
